Album Review: Steel Panther- Feel the Steel

Feel the Steel is the debut 2009 album for the comedy glam metal band hailing from (imagine this) Southern California. Steel Panther is made up of ex-L.A. Guns vocalist Michael Starr, Lead guitarist Satchel, bassist Lexxi Foxxx, and Stix Zadinia on drums. The band sounds and looks just like something that would of stricken the world in the 80s but they're a couple of decades late, but the girls...I mean guys made a good jump to the new millennium. First and foremost the album is the funniest thing I have ever heard (surpassing Tenacious D easily, sorry Cockpushups). The song names themselves don't even need narration (Asian Hooker, Eatin' Ain't Cheatin, The Shocker, Fat Girl (Thar She Blows), and the list just keeps growing). Steel Panther even reached into their bags of tricks and pulled out some big names for help on Feel the Steel. The vocalist god Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) helps out on 3 songs, Anthrax guitar hero Scott Ian lends his trusty Axe on Asian Hooker, and M. Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold) flexes his larynx on Turn Out the Lights.

The first single off the Album "Death to All, But Metal" was actually featured on ITunes as a free Music Video but received some pretty poor reviews due to all of the racial, homophobia, and sexism, but quite frankly this is my damn post so I think it's fucking hilarious and I wouldn't be surprised if Kanye West, 50 Cent, or the many others mentioned haven't pressed charges.

In closing if you are a heavy metal fan, but also like songs talking about fellatio with another woman besides your own and not considering it wrong, the classic two in the pink and one in the stink, or even getting out of prison, going to the nearest strip club, picking up a dancer and going to do blow, this IS your album. So now for the rating, on comedy value it would be rated high even without very good music, but these guys really know how to play and the music is very, very catchy so I'm going to give it
/5.
And thats it for our first album review, there will definitely be more to come and hopefully just keep getting better.
